Barratt London, working with the Church Commissioners for England, are excited to begin their first round of consultation on emerging ideas for the redevelopment of Catford Island.
Catford Island is one of the six key sites identified in the Catford Town Centre Framework, which was adopted by Lewisham Council in June 2021. Our ideas seek to help achieve the Council’s bold vision for Catford Town Centre, creating new connections and green public spaces and introducing a dynamic mix of uses including residential, retail and community space.
We want to help deliver the Borough’s vision for the greenest town centre possible by making Catford Island a new green haven, alive with ‘Play, Planting & Produce’.
Our vision for Catford Island is that it becomes an integral and cherished part of Catford Town Centre. Barratt is seeking as much input from the community as possible to shape these ideas.
Our online consultation hub with further information is available at www.catfordisland.commonplace.is .
We will also be holding a series of events where the local community can meet the team, ask questions and make suggestions.
You can attend our online event on Thursday 14 October, 6:00-7:00pm by registering here. Alternatively meet the team at one of our pop-up events:
• Wednesday 13 October, 5 – 7pm outside Catford Bridge Station
• Saturday 16 October, 10am – 1pm outside The Catford Centre
• Tuesday 19 October, 12 – 2pm on site outside Lidl
