Dear resident,
As you may remember, earlier this year, we concluded our second round of public consultation on our plans for Catford Island. We were delighted that in the second round, there was widespread support for the regeneration of Catford Island, with many noting the site was in need of improvement. Concerns raised by residents during the consultation have been considered and have helped to inform our final proposals
The updates we have made can be viewed on our Commonplace site and we also welcome you to attend our exhibition event at St Lawrence Church in Catford on September 17th from 10AM-2PM, where you can view the details of the scheme we will be submitting.
You can also view our update here.
Best wishes,
Catford Island Project Team

We want your views on the developing design proposals for Catford Island
Barratt London, in partnership with the Church Commissioners, are pleased to present detailed proposals in our second round of consultation for the Catford Island site.
Catford Island is one of the six key sites identified in the Catford Town Centre Framework, which was adopted by Lewisham Council in June 2021. Our developing design proposals have taken into account not only the Council’s bold ambitions for the site, but also the feedback we received following our first phase of consultation.
With a focus on high-quality new homes, public realm and community facilities, our project seeks to meet the ambitions of Lewisham while also introducing a dynamic mix of uses for the site.
Our online consultation hub with further information is available at www.catfordisland.commonplace.is .
We will also be holding a series of events where the local community can meet the team, ask questions and make suggestions.
• Wednesday 2 February, 18:00 – 19:00 (Webinar)
• Tuesday 8 February, 18:00 – 19:00 (Webinar)
• Saturday 5 February, 10:00 – 14:00 (Pop-up outside the Catford Centre)

Barratt London, working with the Church Commissioners for England, are excited to begin their first round of consultation on emerging ideas for the redevelopment of Catford Island.
Catford Island is one of the six key sites identified in the Catford Town Centre Framework, which was adopted by Lewisham Council in June 2021. Our ideas seek to help achieve the Council’s bold vision for Catford Town Centre, creating new connections and green public spaces and introducing a dynamic mix of uses including residential, retail and community space.
We want to help deliver the Borough’s vision for the greenest town centre possible by making Catford Island a new green haven, alive with ‘Play, Planting & Produce’.
Our vision for Catford Island is that it becomes an integral and cherished part of Catford Town Centre. Barratt is seeking as much input from the community as possible to shape these ideas.
Our online consultation hub with further information is available at www.catfordisland.commonplace.is .
We will also be holding a series of events where the local community can meet the team, ask questions and make suggestions.
